She's a professional snuggler who lives for naps, snacks, belly rubs, and aggressively cuddling anyone who dares sit down near her. Her signature move is the Belly Roll™, where she dramatically plops onto her back and wiggles to earn some spa treatment. Ann Marie is about 8 years old and 50 pounds, likely a boxer/beagle mix, and she's perfected the art of being a low-maintenance companion. She's happy to snooze beside you, supervise your patio lunch, join you for a beach day, or accompany you on leisurely strolls. She has enough goofy sparkle to make you laugh but none of the chaos of younger dogs – she's the perfect mix of silly and settled.

Ideal Home

Ann Marie would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home, where she can fully relax and soak up all the attention. However, with the right match, she may also do well with a calm, confident, lower-energy male dog who respects boundaries. She would do best with calm, dog-savvy kitties who mostly keep to themselves, and not playful cats who want to zoom around. She would be an amazing apartment dog or equally content with a yard to sunbathe in. Her ideal home would involve comfy furniture, soft blankets, snacks appearing on schedule, and humans who appreciate afternoon naps and quiet companionship.

Training & Support

Ann Marie is house-trained, non-destructive, rides wonderfully in the car, and walks beautifully on leash. She doesn't need much exercise beyond short strolls and sniffy adventures.

• The adoption fee is $900, which includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, and the cost of transport).
• A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.

Transporation

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
