Malouk

Meet Malouk, a 12-year-old, 85 lb German Shepherd with a gentle soul and a heart full of quiet companionship. He came to us after his person passed away and later wasn't receiving the care he deserved. Now, this sweet senior is ready to find a home where he can be truly cherished. Malouk is blind but navigates life with resilience, still enjoying walks, naps, and treats. He can even get a little playful spark now and then!

Ideal Home

Malouk thrives in a calm, low-key environment. He would be happy as an only pet, but he also does well with calm, respectful dogs and cats who understand he spooks easily due to his blindness. He is incredibly friendly with people and has a soft spot for children.

Ongoing Health

Malouk can experience some anxiety due to his blindness, but he does very well with calming medication and a consistent environment. He finds comfort in his crate and does best when crated while alone.

Training & Support

Malouk is potty trained, though he may mark indoors (he was recently neutered), and belly bands have been an effective solution. He will also need continued leash training, as he can pull, especially when excited or unsure.

Transporation

Malouk is located in Texas but can be adopted locally or out of state. We coordinate safe transport and offer video meet-and-greets to ensure it's the perfect fit.
