Comet Good Shepherd

Comet is a 4-month-old German Shepherd puppy with a beautiful black coat, tan paws, and a charming little white spot on his chest and chin. He's the most reserved of his litter, preferring to observe and warm up at his own pace. Comet came from the Galveston shelter with his siblings and has learned to feel safe and loved in his foster home. Once he trusts you, his gentle and affectionate side shines, and he loves to snuggle close.

Ideal Home

Comet will thrive in a home that offers patience, consistency, and a gentle approach. He is comfortable around adults and does well with other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Comet has been kennel trained, sleeps through the night, and is adjusting well to home life. He may occasionally wake early for a potty break but has settled into a good routine.

Training & Support

Comet is still learning how to respond to corrections but is making steady progress with guidance. He is a quiet puppy who only occasionally speaks up when excited about food or treats, and he is already working on improving this.

Transporation

Comet is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Transport is available to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Pick up for Canadian adopters is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
