Hi, I’m Pixie, an adorable apple-head Chihuahua mix with long legs, dainty toes, and a cute nub tail. Some people think I might have a bit of Deer Chihuahua or Miniature Pinscher in me, too! I’m a sweet, submissive, and shy girl who loves being close to my person. My favorite place in the world is curled up on your lap, and I’ll happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. I currently live with other dogs and cats and get along with them well, although I’m not much of a playmate. My foster mom says I am super silly. I love to take my long front legs and jump up and down bowing when I get excited. And, what she said is even better is that during feeding time I hop like a rabbit up in the air about 3 feet and get my exercise in all the way to the food bowl hopping. I’m such an agile gal. I know I have a few special requirements, but if you’re the right fit, you’ll be rewarded with endless love, companionship, and cuddles.
Ideal Home
I’d do best with someone who is home often, as I’m mostly house-trained but still have occasional accidents and need to be let outside frequently. Because I can be quick to slip out an open door, I’d be happiest in a quiet home without young children. A secure yard with a privacy fence is a must—chain-link fencing won’t keep me safely contained.

Training & Support
I’m still learning about leash walking and currently don’t enjoy walks very much, so a secure yard is especially important. I’m crate-trained and travel well in the car.
