Knox is a 9-month-old, 42 lb male retriever mix with a sweet and very good-natured disposition. Unlike many pups his age, Knox is not overly energetic or rambunctious; instead, he is even-tempered, a little timid, yet always welcoming. He's well-mannered both at home and in public, including at the vet's office. Knox was rescued with his mom, a street pup who found a foster home for her last litter. Knox is the last of that litter looking for his forever family. He enjoys playing with toys and treats, and he loves interacting with children and other dogs. He would likely do best in a home with a friendly dog to help him learn the ropes. Knox is intelligent, tolerant, and a quick learner. He currently spends most of his time outdoors with his mom and another dog, so he'll need a little extra time and patience to adjust to indoor living, but his eagerness to please and intelligence mean he'll catch on quickly. Black dogs like Knox are often overlooked, but please don't let that happen to this wonderful, calm, and good-natured pup who would be a fantastic addition to any family!
