Davidson

Meet Davidson, a 3-year-old, 53-pound Labrador mix with a heart of gold. Lovingly called Davie, he's a sweet and gentle boy who's learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. Davie came to us underweight and with the emotional scars of past abuse, so he's looking for a patient and understanding adopter to help him continue building his confidence.

Davie is timid and easily startled, often shutting down when he gets scared rather than reacting. He has shown no aggression, only fear. He responds best to calm guidance and positive reinforcement, making progress with his foster dad and even starting to wag his tail and do little gallops when he feels brave. He shows friendly interest in the puppies in his foster home and is crate-trained and accident-free.

Ideal Home

Davie would thrive in a calm and patient home where he can continue to build confidence. Due to his timid nature, a very secure environment is essential, and his adopter will need to be diligent with leashing, gates, and other safety precautions.

Ongoing Health

Davie came to us underweight but is now on a good recovery path.

Training & Support

Davie is crate-trained and house-trained. He is sensitive and responds best to positive reinforcement and calm guidance. He is making progress with men but will need continued patience and understanding in this area.
