Cookie is a delightful 2-year-old pittie girl whose sweetness is as irresistible as her name! She joined us when her previous owner could no longer provide the stability she deserved due to unforeseen changes. Cookie absolutely adores people and will happily shower you with affectionate kisses. She's a gentle and loving companion, making her a true joy to be around.
Ideal Home
Cookie does well with her doggy friends at the shelter and has even started attending daycare, where she's been a great success. Her former owner mentioned she lived peacefully with another dog and a cat. Cookie has a lot of playful energy and would thrive in a home with another playful canine companion who can keep up with her spirited personality. She would do best in a home with older children.
Ongoing Health
Cookie has a chicken allergy and will require a chicken-free diet. All our animals are spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Cookie is working on her manners with a trainer and is eager to continue learning in a home environment. She does tend to pull on the leash, but we are actively working on this.

- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- All our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
- We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
- You must be 21 years or older to adopt from us.
- Due to increasing coyote activity in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we cannot adopt to homes with invisible fences.
- We do request vet and personal references.
Transporation
Cookie is located at our Cincinnati-based shelter. We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our shelter.
