Meet Colby! This handsome 13-pound terrier mix is searching for a loyal sidekick to share his life with. Colby has a personality that truly shines and a deep devotion to the people he trusts. He absolutely loves attention, enjoys playtime, and is happiest when he's spending time with his favorite person. Once he has earned your trust, he'll be your constant companion – affectionate, loyal, and always ready to be by your side.
Colby can be a bit cautious around new people and is deeply bonded to his person. He experiences some reactivity, but with time, consistent training, thoughtful management, patience, and veterinary support, he has been making wonderful progress. He'll need a family committed to continuing the work that's helping him build confidence.
Ideal Home
Colby thrives in a calm, quiet environment with a predictable routine and minimal visitors. A securely fenced yard is a must, as walks can sometimes be challenging for him. He is not a good match for a home with cats, and while he may get along with some dogs, careful introductions and management are important. An adopter with experience handling spirited small dogs would be a great fit. Colby is looking for an adult-only home with no children, as he needs time to warm up to new people. His adoption process may include multiple meet-and-greets to ensure everyone is comfortable.
Ongoing Health
Colby is neutered, current on vaccinations and preventatives, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Colby is potty trained and already knows some basic commands, giving him a great foundation for continued success.
