Rory is a 5-year-old, 57 lb Husky/Lab mix who is an absolute sweetheart and a true TV-watching companion. She's a big fan of toys and loves a good game of fetch, though she might keep the prize for herself to enjoy a little break. Rory is also a champion napper, with her favorite spot being an armchair where she can curl up and let out quiet, contented snores. She's a smart cookie who picks things up quickly, excels at crate training, and knows basic commands like "sit" and "lay down."
Ideal Home
Rory would thrive in a home with a yard and would love to be part of a family with children. She doesn't require another dog in the home, as her people and toys will keep her happily entertained. A home without cats is essential, as Rory has shown a strong interest in chasing them.
Ongoing Health
Rory is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injection. She has also tested negative for heartworm.
Training & Support
Rory has basic leash skills and is continuing to learn in new environments. She is house-trained and will let you know when she needs to go out. She is also a rockstar in her crate and settles down easily. She takes corrections well and learns quickly.

Transportation
Rory is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Transport includes real-time tracking, photo updates, and a dedicated Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
