Rex

Rex is a handsome boy, likely around six years old, who was found wandering the streets of Houston. Despite his past abandonment, Rex clearly remembered his people and jumped into a car that approached him, hoping to be reunited. He ended up in our rescue, a grown dog still longing for the owners who left him behind. Rex is confused and misses his previous life, showing his grief and longing for the people who threw him away. He has a strong, dominant personality but prefers to avoid conflict. While he may initially warn with a growl if he feels uncomfortable, Rex responds well to kindness and quietly leans in for pets when he feels safe. He is a shepherd with a strong character and needs an experienced adopter who understands his complex emotional needs and can help him learn to trust again.
