Himari is a 10-month-old female terrier mix, weighing approximately 22 lbs and expected to reach about 33 lbs. She was born in our shelter on April 10, 2024, to a rescued pregnant mother. Himari is described as docile, affectionate, playful, friendly, and loving. She is learning to trust people but can be a bit shy and nervous around new individuals. She is very active and enjoys running and playing with her dog friends.
Ideal Home
We are looking for families with an open conscience about the needs of rescued street animals, understanding their need for protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training is highly beneficial. A high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are a must. Please realize that our dogs may have been traumatized before coming to us and may need an adjustment period. Patience and understanding are imperative. Himari is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Himari has been spayed/neutered and is up-to-date on vaccinations including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. She is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are provided.
Training & Support
Himari is not house-trained. Our rescued pets may not be potty trained. It is an impossible job for us to house-train each one due to the sheer number of animals we care for. We ask adopters to understand that these animals have significant needs for protection and education.
