Holy smokes, look who just arrived at the shelter – it's Colby, the four-legged superhero with the heart of a golden retriever and the clumsy charm of someone still learning their own superpowers! I'm an enthusiastic, goofy guy who absolutely LOVES to play and hasn't quite figured out that I'm, well, let's just say "impressively strong." My previous family said I'm a total lovebug who gets SO excited about everything – new people, playtime, adventures – that I sometimes forget my own strength when I'm bouncing around. I'm house-trained, crate-trained, and I genuinely enjoy having my own cozy space to relax in. Here's my secret superpower though: I'm actually pretty smart and bond deeply with my people. I do my best around other dogs who are my size or bigger, and I'm not really a fan of cats – we just don't see eye to eye on the whole "playing together" thing. I might also have a tendency to pull on the leash when I get excited, so a firm hand and some positive reinforcement training would be perfect for us. I love to chew on things, so having some good toys and chew options will keep me happy and out of trouble. If you're looking for a goofy, lovable companion who wants nothing more than to be your loyal friend and playmate, I might just be your perfect match! I am full grown at ~98lbs. How did I get here? Surrendered when my owner was no longer able to care for me.
