Winy

Winy is a handsome, approximately 1-year-old male Labrador Creole mix weighing around 30 lbs. He's a loving, intelligent, and obedient boy who also has a playful and joyful spirit. Winy was rescued in March 2024 along with his six siblings and is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. He's an energetic and social fellow who enjoys walks, runs, and playing. Winy can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but he quickly melts into your arms once he receives some affection. He's a dog and cat-friendly companion who is also described as docile, loyal, and very funny. Winy is crate and leash trained.

Ideal Home

Winy would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and are active families that enjoy outdoor activities. Adopters should have an open mind and understanding regarding the behaviors of rescued street animals, recognizing their need for protection and education. Previous experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, as is a high level of tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.

• Monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm

Please note that rescued animals may not be fully house-trained.

Training & Support

Winy is crate and leash trained. However, it's important to understand that rescued animals often require patience and continued training, especially regarding house-training. Adopters should be prepared to provide ongoing education and support.

Transportation

Winy is currently located in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee.
