Sage

Sage is a very sweet girl who came to us from a research facility. She is still learning about the world outside of the facility, and everything is new and a little overwhelming for her. Sage is the most reserved of her group and can be a bit shy, often seeking out small, safe spaces to feel secure. She's currently in a foster home, slowly discovering that people can be kind and gentle. She is doing her best to adjust and learn to trust.

Ideal Home

Sage would do best in a home with a secure, fenced yard where she can explore safely. She also needs the companionship of another dog to help her feel more comfortable and learn from. Patience is key for Sage; her new family will need to understand that she has never lived outside of a research setting and will require time and understanding as she adjusts to her new life.

Ongoing Health

Sage is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Because Sage is new to living in a home, she will need guidance and support as she learns new things. She is not yet house-trained, and her shyness means she may hide in small spaces. Her foster family is working on helping her understand that people are okay, and this will be an ongoing process in her new home.
