Lassie

Lassie arrived at the shelter on April 19th, 2024, after being found wandering near Alpine. She was initially a bit unsure of people, but she has blossomed into a friendly and social pup! Lassie is a true social butterfly in playgroup, getting along famously with all her canine companions and enjoying her days playing in the yard. She's also a water enthusiast who loves to cool off with a swim in the pool! While she might be a little reserved with new faces at first, she quickly warms up and adores attention. Her favorite trait, according to staff, is her playful "talking" – she's quite the conversationalist! Lassie is a pro at leash walking, is perfectly potty trained, and happily heads to the play yard without needing a leash. She's eager to learn and motivated by treats and toys, making basic training a fun and rewarding experience.

Lassie would thrive in a home with one or more other dogs, as she seems most comfortable with canine companionship. She enjoys following a routine, going for walks, and would be over the moon for visits to a local watering hole!
