I promise to always look at you with adoring eyes! I'm Ivy, a 1-year-old, 50-pound package of hound/terrier and cuddle buddy. I love to smile, play, and nap. A great cuddle after a play session is perfect! I'm already comfortable in my kennel and house-trained, and I'm also leash-trained, although I'd rather just hang out in the backyard with family and friends. I know sit, shake, fetch, and down! I am super intelligent and learn very easily. I also like playing fetch with tennis balls and am very athletic. I get really excited when you get out the leash, and the same goes for the car – just get out the keys and I am ready to be your co-pilot! When I want to show you something you may have missed, I lift up my paw as a way to get your attention.
Ideal Home
I would do best in a home where I was your one and only (and older children). Sitting on your lap and showering you with kisses is just about my favorite thing in the world. My forever home should be filled with loving, patient people who are committed to helping me reach my full potential. We should go on adventures and then return to our happy home with a fenced yard. I love the lake, hiking, car rides, and walks. I would love a home where I am not left alone for too long since I love to be around my people. Got room for a cuddle buddy?
Ongoing Health
My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip.
Training & Support
As a reminder, young dogs need lots of time and attention. Before adopting me, please make sure that you have enough time, energy, and commitment to devote to my training. Puppies need a lot of care, so everyone in your household should be on board and ready to help out. Dogs are pack animals, so I do not do well in outdoor-only homes.
