This beautiful five-year-old Maremma/Kelpie/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix is a true gem, brimming with loyalty, intelligence, and gentle sweetness. Hjerte has a special way of communicating through her expressive eyes and body language, making every moment spent with her feel like a meaningful conversation. She finds joy in simple pleasures like playful zoomies, chewing on her favorite bones, and leaning in for affection. With a medium energy level, she's happy to engage in play but also enjoys quiet companionship, often staying close to her people or keeping a watchful eye over her surroundings like a devoted guardian.
Ideal Home
Hjerte would thrive in a home where she can be the only dog, allowing her to fully relax and focus on her bond with her family. She needs a caregiver who understands her need for space around other dogs, as she has had challenging interactions, including a bite incident with a smaller dog and resource guarding with another similar-sized dog. She is compatible with cats and would do well with a caregiver who appreciates her unique blend of guardian instincts and affectionate companionship.

Hjerte is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She may require occasional care to manage a tendency toward UTIs due to her hooded vulva.
