Peony is the dog that just radiates sunshine! This girl is the happiest, wiggliest, and most hilarious dog you'll ever meet. Peony has never had a bad day, and neither will her forever family, because they get to soak up the silliness and love that Peony offers in abundance. She is a 5-ish year old, 45lb staffie mix who has never met a stranger and is fantastic with people, kids, dogs, and cats. She is truly a dream boat, the kind of dog that is happy anywhere and sparks joy!
Ideal Home
Peony thrives on routine and structure. This means providing her with plenty of guidance, both inside and outside the home. She needs work on impulse control and settling inside, which can be aided with "place" training, crate work, and proper exercise. Without something to do, Peony can get overstimulated, but with consistency, she will adjust to her new home's routine.
Ongoing Health
Peony is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and will be ready for her forever home in mid-August.
Training & Support
Peony is still working on loose leash walking because she just loves life and wants to run! Her adopter should be dedicated to working with her on training. She has a great foundation and will just need consistency. Our rescue provides adopters with various training resources to set them up for success.

Transportation
All of our dogs are fostered in Houston, TX. However, we work with trusted transport partners to transport our dogs to over 30 cities in the United States. Adopters are also always encouraged to come to Houston to pick up their new pup. Once an adoption is confirmed, our team will work with you to determine the best transport schedule.
