About Chillon

Chillon is a stunning 5-year-old, 68-pound neutered Lab/Pit mix with a heart of gold and a personality to match his movie-star looks. He was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in San Antonio, Texas, and has since made his way to the PNW, where he's now in a foster home in Burien, WA, eagerly awaiting his forever family. Chillon's soulful amber eyes, shiny black coat, and adorable collection of pajamas are sure to make you smile. He has a unique way of charming everyone he meets, often with a gentle paw reach followed by a dramatic flop for belly rubs. He's a playful companion who can switch from energetic play to cozy naps on the couch in an instant.

Ideal Home

Chillon thrives in a home with another dog to boost his confidence, as he can be a bit nervous as a single dog but becomes very outgoing with canine companions. He's also looking for a family with respectful, dog-savvy kids ages 12 and up, as he can be timid with new people and is still building his confidence. He'd love a home where someone is around for most of the day, such as a work-from-home household or one with staggered schedules, to help with his separation anxiety. A household that enjoys regular walks, playtime, and adventures would be a wonderful fit, and he'd especially appreciate a cozy couch to share.

Ongoing Health

Chillon is house-trained and rides well in the car. He is a smart and eager-to-please dog, making him a joy to train.

Training & Support

While Chillon is house-trained and eager to please, he does pull on the leash and will need continued training to improve his leash manners. Long daily walks and regular activity are recommended to help him build confidence and settle. He also experiences some separation anxiety and will need patience and consistency from his new family as he continues to build security.
