Calvin

Meet Calvin, a sweet and gentle hound mix who's about 5 years old and patiently waiting for his forever home. Calvin arrived at the shelter as a stray and was never reclaimed. When he first came to us, he was underweight with calluses on his hind end, clearly having had a tough time. But thanks to the dedication of our staff and volunteers, he's slowly gaining weight and gaining confidence!

Calvin has made amazing progress. Initially hesitant on a leash, he now enjoys heading outside for fresh air and sunshine. He's incredibly food-motivated, which has been a huge help in his training. During a recent snowstorm, we discovered Calvin loves a bit of playtime followed by his favorite thing: treats and snuggles with his human friends.

Ideal Home

Calvin would thrive in a home where he can continue to feel safe and settle in. He's a hound, so he'll likely enjoy exploring his surroundings with his nose!

Ongoing Health

Calvin is current on his shots and was recently neutered. He's come a long way since his arrival and is looking for a loving home to continue his journey.

Training & Support

Calvin is food-motivated, which makes him eager to please and learn. With a little time, love, patience, and gentle guidance, he'll blossom into a wonderful companion.
