Meet Lainey, a beautiful girl with a heart and soul bigger than her body! Lainey was brought in as a stray in November 2025 to Dallas Animal Services with no known background, and she’s estimated to be around three years old. She’s currently fostered in Addison, Texas. Lainey has bloomed under her foster’s care. Her personality is truly that of a house hippo; she sleeps with her stuffed animal babies all day long on the couch, with a short zoomies break every now and then with a chew bone, and follows the foster’s two year old around the house. She loves children, especially littles, and she has been dog AND cat friendly! She loves long walks, and Lainey doesn’t pull on the leash at all, she stays walking right next to you. She rarely barks, and is usually very quiet! Potty training is going well, and she hasn’t had an accident in a long time!
Ideal Home
Lainey can get nervous around loud/energetic dogs and will try to hide, so if her forever home has pets, she would prefer calmer ones. Loud noises from people do not affect her, nor do toddler tantrums.
Ongoing Health
Lainey is currently heartworm positive and undergoing treatment, which is fully covered by Mutts N Such Rescue.
Training & Support
Potty training is going well, and she hasn’t had an accident in a long time! Lainey rarely barks and is usually very quiet.

- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- Out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
- Mutts N Such reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal. Adoptions are not on a first come, first serve basis.
Transporation
Lainey is fostered in Texas but available for transport to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue.
