Addie

Addie is an estimated 40lb female American Staffordshire Terrier/Shepherd mix, born around May 2025. She's a sweet and gentle girl who loves to snuggle and receive love from her humans. Addie and her siblings were rescued after being abandoned in a backyard; she even had a collar that had started to embed. Thankfully, she's now healthy and happy, eagerly awaiting her forever home. Addie is a quick learner, already knowing "sit," "stay," "come," and "release." She also walks wonderfully on a leash and is working on "down," "shake," "high five," and "place." She does great with other dogs and has shown herself to be very sweet and gentle with the children she's met. While she has typical puppy energy, she also has a calm side that loves to relax with her people.

Ideal Home

Addie would do best in a home that can provide her with plenty of love and affection and is committed to continuing her training. She is working on building confidence in new environments and around unfamiliar things, so a patient and understanding family will be key to helping her blossom into a happy, confident girl.

Ongoing Health

Addie is up-to-date on vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Addie is house-trained and crate-trained, with her foster mom saying she's the easiest puppy she's ever potty-trained! She's learning quickly and already knows several commands. She can be a little timid in new places or around new sounds but relaxes once she realizes they are okay. Continuing to expose her to new things in a positive way will help her gain confidence.
