Liko's story is one of incredible resilience. Nearly two years ago, as a tiny two-week-old puppy, she and her family were victims of a horrific act of cruelty. Thankfully, they were rescued, and Liko survived. She learned to trust, and for a time, she knew the love of a family. Now, through no fault of her own, Liko is back, searching for the permanent home she so deserves. Despite her difficult start, Liko is a remarkable dog. She can be a bit reserved when meeting new people, but once she feels secure, she's a devoted best friend. Liko is crate trained, potty trained, and very intelligent, knowing commands like sit, stay, down, and place. She walks beautifully on a leash and is always eager to learn, thriving with structure, activity, and trusted humans. Liko adores sunshine and can often be found soaking up rays in a sunny spot. She loves walks, hikes, playing in a doggy pool, and exploring the outdoors. She's also wonderfully goofy, often entertaining herself with playful antics, earning her the nickname "Mayhem" from her foster family. At the end of the day, her favorite place is by your side, snoring contentedly after a day of adventures.
Ideal Home
Liko would do best as the only dog in her home, as she truly thrives when she has her family's undivided attention. She is fine with cats and would likely do well with older children who can understand and respect her need for personal space.
Ongoing Health
No ongoing health concerns are noted.
Training & Support
Liko is well-trained in basic commands and house manners. She is eager to learn and responds well to structure and positive reinforcement. Her foster family's nickname "Mayhem" refers to her entertaining and goofy personality, not any behavioral issues.
