About Coraline
Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix, currently weighing 45 lbs and expected to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. She's a delightful blend of curious, silly, cuddly, and endlessly entertaining, with a quirky charm that brings smiles daily. Coraline adores playing peek-a-boo and rewards a noticed head peek with joyful zoomies! She's deeply people-oriented and loves to be close to her humans, often following them around like a shadow without being overly demanding. Her affection is shown through sweet puppy kisses or a gentle paw resting on your leg. Coraline is also a wonderful work-from-home companion, content to entertain herself quietly on a dog bed. She's social with people and other dogs, greeting them calmly before happily moving on to play or explore. Coraline is the perfect mix of playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive – your ultimate sidekick and best friend!
Ideal Home
Coraline would thrive in a home that enjoys a mix of adventure and relaxation, from leisurely walks and hikes to cozy evenings on the couch. She loves being involved in her family's daily routine and would be happy with short walks and backyard play sessions, or joining longer hikes and beach trips. She’d benefit from a family who understands she's still gaining confidence in busy public areas, but is eager to be an outdoor adventure buddy with more exposure and socialization. A fenced yard is a must for her to run and play. No apartments or condos due to potential noise sensitivity in busy areas. She needs to have her human home more often than not, though doggy daycare a few days a week would be fine. She requires another dog in her forever home as she thrives with canine companionship.
Ongoing Health
Coraline is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She has received a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and has had any necessary vet care while in rescue.
Training & Support
Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained, and is working on leash training. She sleeps in her kennel willingly but prefers to sleep in bed with her foster mom. She's motivated by treats and will walk beside you with encouragement. Additional practice is needed to perfect her leash walking skills and boost her confidence in public. She alerts her foster mom when she needs to go outside by pacing at the back door and can use a doggy door. She needs to be taken out every 3-4 hours initially to establish a consistent potty schedule in her new home.
