Hello, my name is JJ! Just like the character JJ, I have a gentle and sympathetic nature. They don't know exactly what kind of pup I am, but I think I am the best kind. I have the body of a German Shepherd, the sweetness of a Pittie, and the face of a Vizsla. I am a goofy, doofy-looking, gangly puppy who just wants to make you happy! I may have come from New Mexico, but I have really embraced all this white stuff! I like to lay in it and chew on sticks, and my foster mom wasn't too happy about having to come and get me. I have learned that outside is for more than eating sticks! I am a good girl that tries to get your attention or whines when I need to go out. I don't mind my kennel one bit! I do prefer to be with you, though. If you give me something to chew on like a Nylabone or Kong, I settle down and will take a nap while you are gone for work. It takes me a little bit of time to warm up, but once I do, I give the sweetest of kisses. Sometimes the big hairy guy at home makes me nervous. I know he gives me love, treats, pets, and food, but I am starting to like him just as much as the lady of the house. The confident resident pup has helped me know that these humans are quite alright. I hope I get to show a pup the ropes someday. I think with some more confidence, I will do great! I absolutely LOVE to play and romp around outside. I am so happy that it makes my foster parents giggle. My zoomies after number 2 are hilarious, apparently! When I am proud of myself, I like to show it by high-stepping around like a horse. I can sound like one, too! Now to just find my forever family. Do you want to give me, a red brindle beauty, a chance at the bestest life? My photos don't do me justice. I would love to meet you!
Ideal Home
I can be a little nervous around larger male dogs, but I am warming up to the gentleman in my foster home with the help of the resident pup. A confident, resident dog would be a great addition to help me continue to build my confidence.
Ongoing Health
JJ is a healthy pup with no known health conditions at this time.
Training & Support
I take a little time to warm up to new people, but once I do, I am a very affectionate and loving pup. I am getting used to the male dog in my foster home and am doing well with the guidance of the resident pup. I am also learning to communicate my needs for potty breaks.
