About Koi the Mini Boxer and Happiest Boy
If happiness had a mascot, it would at least resemble Koi! This boy is the definition of a people's dog, spreading wiggly affection and enthusiasm for love everywhere he goes. To him, being loved is an absolute thrill! The moment you start petting him, you can see him light up like it's the best day of his life – tail wagging, body wiggling, whole-face smile. Standing still for love is just not his style!
Koi is estimated to be 1.5 years old, weighs 33 lbs, and we suspect he is a mini Boxer and English Bulldog mix. He has a big personality but we cannot guarantee his breed or birthday as he is a rescue. Koi enjoys adventure and is an eager explorer with basic leash skills that will polish to perfection with practice and occasional gentle correction. He checks in often and is happy to meet your expectations.
Dog-wise, Koi is a social and playful guy. He's polite during on-leash introductions, with a little friendly excitement sneaking in here and there. The only challenge with Koi's friendly enthusiasm is that not every dog finds it fun. He loves a good playmate with matching energy but can pester dogs to play in an annoying, younger sibling sort of way. His best fit would be with dogs that have a similar "baby bull" playstyle. That said, this boy would also be perfectly content being your one and only!
Ideal Home
Koi's ideal home will give him an outlet for his energy – walks, playdates, or backyard fun – and people who don't mind his occasional joyful jumps or sneaky smooches. He's a small package with a big-dog heart and a contagious joy for life. He is friendly, outgoing, and greets new people with open paws and a full-body wiggle. He does jump up gently to give hugs, so a family with slightly older kids who can handle his excitement would be perfect.
