Peep

Peep is a 3-year-old, 12-pound Chihuahua/Terrier mix who is ready to find her forever family after bravely raising her puppies. She can be a little shy when you first meet her, but with some patience and gentle handling, she blossoms into a sweet and affectionate companion who loves to be close to her people. Her foster mom has been instrumental in helping Peep gain confidence, and she now enjoys snuggling and resting near her favorite humans. To further boost her confidence and provide her with a fun friend, a playful canine companion would be a wonderful addition to her new home.

Ideal Home

Peep would thrive in a home where she can receive the patience and time she needs to adjust. She'll do best with someone who is home part of the day and can provide her with routine and companionship. A secure, fenced yard is a must for her to safely explore and play. Peep would do well in an adult-only home. If there are cats in the home, they must be dog-savvy and confident around dogs.

Ongoing Health

Peep had a skin condition that has since cleared up, and her coat is now growing in beautifully. She is spayed, vaccinated, and up-to-date on heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Peep is doing very well with house training and enjoys her routine. She still has a tendency to chew, so it's important to keep tempting items out of her reach. A playful dog companion will also be a great source of support as she continues to build her confidence.
