Delta Dawn

Meet Delta Dawn! This adorable Staffy/Cattle Dog mix, weighing in at 40lbs and estimated to be born around May 6, 2022, has truly captured our hearts. Delta Dawn's journey to us has been a tough one. She arrived pregnant and facing a bleak future at the county shelter, but we couldn't let that happen. She found comfort and safety with a wonderful foster family, where she welcomed her puppies. Sadly, all 11 of her little ones succumbed to puppy fading syndrome, a heartbreaking loss that deeply affected us all.

Despite her past, Delta Dawn is a ray of sunshine. Her fur is incredibly soft, and her sweet nature makes you want to shower her with affection. Cuddling is high on her list of favorite activities! She's even game for a trip to Tractor Supply, and surprisingly, she doesn't mind bath time. She particularly enjoys exploring the toy and treat aisles, sniffing out all the goodies.

Delta Dawn is currently working on her leash manners. She's so full of life and eager to explore that she sometimes pulls ahead, but she's a quick learner who loves to please her people. She's recently discovered the joy of play and absolutely LOVES balls! She'll chase after them with enthusiasm, and we're practicing her fetching skills.

One of Delta Dawn's most striking features is her unique eyes – one is blue, and the other is brown. Her adorable, perky ears also draw attention and make her stand out. She thrives on extra love and attention when she's out and about. She's searching for her special person who will give her endless belly rubs and show her the loving, cherished life she truly deserves.

Training & Support

Delta Dawn is still learning to fetch, but she is eager to please and a fast learner. She enjoys walks and is working on her leash manners.

• Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.
• Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
• Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
• All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
