About Peanut

Meet Peanut!

Peanut is a beautiful 2-year-old Labrador mix with a sleek black coat, bright white markings, and an adventurous spirit. She loves exploring hiking trails, sniffing every new scent, and spending time outdoors with her people. Whether she's sitting patiently beside a waterfall or joining you on a weekend adventure, Peanut is happiest when she's part of the journey. Peanut is intelligent, affectionate, and already knows basic commands like sit, leave it, and come. She is crate trained, house trained, and enjoys learning with people she trusts.

Ideal Home

Peanut is looking for a very specific home. She would do best in an adult-only home (or one with older, dog-savvy teens if deemed appropriate). She cannot live with cats and would preferably be the only pet, or with an experienced owner able to carefully manage introductions. A secure fenced yard is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Peanut is up-to-date on vaccinations, deworming, and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She has received a veterinary health exam and health certificate.

Training & Support

Peanut has developed behavioral challenges that require an experienced home. An adopter committed to continuing positive, reward-based behavior modification is essential. Despite these challenges, Peanut is a loyal companion who forms deep bonds with her people and thrives when given structure, consistency, and clear expectations.
