Tommy Pickles is a ~2-year-old pit bull mix, weighing around 42 lbs, with a big personality, a playful spirit, and a whole lot of love to give! His joyful, goofy heart is ready for a fresh start with a family of his own. Tommy is playful, affectionate, and full of character. He loves to romp, wrestle, and play with other dogs, and canine companionship is one of his favorite things. Whether it’s a good game of chase, wrestling with a dog friend, or tossing around his favorite toys (especially balls), Tommy brings enthusiasm and fun to everything he does. When playtime winds down, Tommy is more than happy to roll over for belly rubs, snuggle close, and soak up affection from his people. He’s loving, loyal, and thrives on connection, often showing his affection through kisses and closeness. Tommy walks well on leash with occasional reminders and enjoys exploring the outdoors. He’s smart, food-motivated, and responds well to positive reinforcement training, though he can be a little stubborn at times.
Ideal Home
Tommy would thrive in an active, adult-only home that can provide exercise, structure, and continued training. He is not a good fit for homes with cats or children.
Ongoing Health
Tommy is a work in progress, as all rescue dogs are. He is crate trained and potty trained, though like many dogs transitioning homes, he may need a brief adjustment period.
Training & Support
Tommy is smart and food-motivated, responding well to positive reinforcement training. He can be a little stubborn at times, so an adopter who enjoys training, structure, and guidance will be a great match.
