Trix is an 8-month-old, 35-pound Pitbull mix with the sweetest, smartest soul, but she's a bit shy. She and her brother were surrendered to a shelter, and while her brother found his home, Trix needed more time in foster care to build her confidence. Trix was significantly undersocialized early in life, and her baseline is fear of humans. However, she has never shown any reactivity; she simply looks for a safe place to hide when unsure. She is gentle, quiet, and incredibly observant, picking things up quickly. With patience and intentional time spent building trust, she grows more comfortable and will surprise you with her progress. She is housebroken, loves her crate, and is learning to walk on a leash. She has been around kids and is very quiet. Her history with cats is unknown. Trix is a diamond in the rough who will require patience, compassion, and commitment, but the reward will be extraordinary.
Ideal Home
Trix will need a home where someone is around more often than not, as she's still a puppy and building trust takes time and consistency. She is not a ready-made confident dog and deserves a family that will help her find her courage. Adopters without another dog should have a thoughtful plan for socialization and confidence building.

Transporation
Trix is currently located in San Antonio, Texas. She can be transported once an adopter is matched. Transports run every few weeks, and she will be on the next available transport once approved.
