About Atlas Moose the Floppy Eared Goober

Atlas Moose is the kind of puppy that makes you laugh within the first five minutes of meeting him. Maybe it's the giant floppy ears, or the tail that's practically as long as the rest of him, or the fact that he can somehow detect a treat from what feels like three zip codes away. Whatever it is, this boy has personality for days! He's goofy, happy, affectionate, and still very much figuring out how to navigate life with those oversized puppy feet. Atlas Moose is approximately 5 months old and weighs around 42 lbs. We believe he may be a German Shepherd/Bloodhound mix, though with rescue, breed and age are always a mystery. Between those giant ears, his impressive nose, and the way he sniffs out food, we'd bet there's some hound mixed in there! He's essentially built like a baby moose and is still growing, so we don't expect him to stay small. Atlas is sweet, loving, curious, playful, and always ready for a good time. He loves toys, especially balls, and has already mastered the game of fetch! His food motivation will make him a joy to train, as he's eager to learn and shows lots of potential.

Ideal Home

Atlas would do best in a home with a backyard where he has room to run, play fetch, and burn off energy. He's going to need a family committed to training and socialization, as he's a large breed puppy with typical puppy energy. He could do well as an only dog or with another medium to large dog that enjoys playful puppy energy.

Ongoing Health

Atlas is a healthy puppy.

Training & Support

Atlas is working on crate training and potty training and is doing great! Like any puppy his age, he'll need continued consistency, routine, and structure as he grows. He's eager to learn and will thrive with continued training and socialization.
