COWBOY JACK aka CJ (Friendly To All Ages, Affectionate, Loving, Sweet, Kind)

Cowboy Jack, or CJ as he's affectionately known, is a handsome 1.5-year-old English Pointer/Australian Cattle Dog mix with a heart full of love and a spirit ready for adventure! This 47-pound boy sports a charming black and white spotted coat and a personality that shines. Abandoned and facing an uncertain future, CJ was rescued and given a second chance, and now he's healthy, happy, and eagerly awaiting his forever family. He's an active, playful, and fun-loving companion who adores water, roughhousing, car rides, and engaging his keen nose in games like "find the hidden treat." CJ is also quite observant and enjoys relaxing on the porch, watching the world go by with his favorite person.

Ideal Home

CJ is friendly with children and adults of all ages and would thrive with an active adopter who can keep him engaged, perhaps as a hiking, camping, or outdoor adventure buddy. A large backyard would be ideal for him to run and play in. Due to his hunting instincts, CJ would do best in a home without cats. He also plays a bit roughly with smaller dogs, so he'd do best with dogs closer to his own size.

Ongoing Health

CJ is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccinations.

Training & Support

CJ is good on leash. While he loves to play, he sometimes uses his paws a bit enthusiastically, even with other dogs, as he doesn't always realize his size. He enjoys quiet time indoors after a day of activity and is happy to settle down for movie time with his family.
