Ongoing Health

This puppy was born to a mother dog who tested positive for heartworm disease. While the microfilariae (larvae) present at birth will not develop into adult heartworms without a mosquito intermediate host, they can live in the puppy for up to two years. To ensure the complete elimination of any remaining microfilariae and to minimize any risk to other dogs, we recommend continuing monthly heartworm preventative (such as Advantage Multi or Parasedge) for at least the first three months after adoption. This product also protects against fleas, but an additional tick preventative (oral) should be used.

Training & Support

Being just puppies, they will have so much to learn! They'll need house training, crate training, and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend obedience classes to learn commands together, build confidence, and provide socialization opportunities.
