Meet Smokey, a 2-year-old, 60-pound male Cane Corso / Weimaraner mix who is ready to find his forever family! Smokey came to us as a stray and has been living in a foster home, where he's shown us just how sweet and affectionate he is. He's a smart and quick learner who just wants to shower his humans with love. Smokey is a total couch potato who enjoys cuddling up and relaxing with his family, but he also loves a good game of chase with his dog friends. He's described as kind-hearted and is sure to be a loyal and gentle companion.
Ideal Home
Smokey would thrive in a home without cats. He would also do best in a low-traffic home due to his shyness with new people. Smokey would LOVE a home with someone who works from home or is only away from the home for a few hours a day, as he experiences some separation anxiety. He would do well if left to free roam.
Ongoing Health
Smokey is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.
Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained. While he prefers not to be crated, he will go into the crate to rest. He does cry for a bit when left alone but stops and does not tear anything up. He gets a little nervous around strangers and may bark out of excitement, but he is easily redirected. He can pull slightly at the beginning of a walk when excited but settles down quickly.
