Jacobo is a 10-month-old, 33 lb Shepherd/Border Collie mix who was found as a puppy wandering alone on a boardwalk. He's a playful, affectionate, and social pup who might be a little timid at first, but it doesn’t take long for his confidence to shine. He absolutely loves to play, especially with other dogs, and would be thrilled to have a furry friend to play with. He’s curious about cats and doesn’t hurt them, but his playful energy could potentially be a bit too much for feline companions. While Jacobo hasn’t spent much time around kids, his gentle nature suggests he’d do well with respectful children. He’s crate-trained for short periods, doesn’t bark much, and has no food-guarding issues. At night, he sleeps peacefully on his dog bed indoors.
Ideal Home
Jacobo’s ideal home would be one with space to run, plenty of playtime, and people who won’t leave him alone for long. He would do well with dogs and can live with cats. Children are also a possibility, provided they are respectful of his space.
Ongoing Health
Jacobo is up-to-date on all his vaccines, has been sterilized, and is current on flea/tick/heartworm treatment. He has also been dewormed and microchipped.
Training & Support
Jacobo is not yet 100% housebroken and will need time and patience to adjust to a new routine. He is also not leash-trained yet and will need to be slowly desensitized to walking on a leash.
