Ivory

Ivory is a heart-melting girl who came to us as a surprise package in the best way possible! She and her companion, Misu, were surrendered to a high-kill shelter but were thankfully rescued by POPR and SPARI. After being transported and fostered, Ivory has truly flourished and her wonderful personality has come out! She is slightly vision impaired, but it's barely noticeable, and she navigates her surroundings with ease. Ivory is a joy on walks, engaging playfully when prompted, and her whole world lights up when she receives attention and praise. She loves to give hip hugs and her favorite pastime is collecting toys to keep near her. She's intelligent, adaptable, and would make a great couch potato partner, though she also enjoys a good nap. Ivory can be good with other dogs but would do best with a sound, non-reactive canine companion as she can be reactive at times. A unique quirk is her tendency to dig holes to lie in, suggesting she may have been an outdoor dog in the past. Ivory is a fun, unique dog that would bring so much joy to anyone looking for a loving companion.

Ideal Home

Ivory needs a home that is prepared for the possibility that her eyesight could worsen in the future, and is comfortable with a dog who may have little to no vision. While she is highly adaptable, this would require a stable environment for the rest of her years.

Ivory has slight vision impairment.

Training & Support

Ivory enjoys digging holes to lay in. She is communicable and likes to "chatter" back when spoken to.
