Nora is a 2-year-old, 32-pound mix of Caramelo Dog and Labrador Retriever with a stunning caramel coat and an boundless zest for life. She’s incredibly social and gets along famously with other dogs, children, men, and women alike. Nora is a happy, energetic pup who loves to run, play, and stay active all day long. Her journey began in Houston, where she and her sisters were found as tiny, 3-month-old puppies struggling to survive on the streets. Tragically, two of her sisters were lost before rescue could arrive. Nora and her one surviving sister were saved just in time, given a chance at a safe and loving life. Despite her challenging start, Nora has blossomed into a joyful, affectionate, and playful dog, ready to leave her past behind and find her forever family. She’s seeking a home where she can continue to feel safe, loved, and free to be the happy dog she was always meant to be.
Ideal Home
Nora would thrive with a family that enjoys outdoor activities and can provide plenty of playtime and attention. A house with a fenced backyard is essential for her safety and enjoyment. Families with an understanding of the needs of rescued street animals, including their need for protection and education, are ideal. Experience with dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups, is also preferred.
Ongoing Health
Nora has completed her spay/neuter procedure and received her DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines. She has also been dewormed and comes with a heartworm test certificate and a health certificate. Her vaccination booklet is available.
Training & Support
Nora is not yet house-trained, and we are unable to provide this training in our foster homes due to the high number of animals we care for. Potential adopters should be prepared to work on house-training with her. Families with experience in dog behavior and training, and a high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies, will be best equipped to help Nora succeed.
