Meet Hansel! This handsome 46lb Black Mouth Cur mix, born around April 28, 2025, is a sweet and gentle soul who might be a little shy at first. But give him a moment to warm up, and his wonderful personality will truly shine! Hansel enjoys observing the world at his own pace, exploring with quiet curiosity. While he has a calm and independent streak, he also loves to play and gets wonderfully energetic with other dogs, especially the ladies – he's done well with female dogs so far! Hansel was a superstar at our last adoption event, making friends with people of all ages, including children! He's kennel trained and loves to snuggle up with soft blankets and pillows after a day of adventures. Chew toys are another favorite, and he's happy to entertain himself. And bath time? Hansel handles it like a champ!

Transportation
Hansel is located in Houston, TX, and transport is available out of state. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
