Tina

Tina is an 11-year-old Chihuahua/Mini Pinscher mix, born around October 2014. She was rescued as a stray in the Dallas area in 2019 and found her way into a loving home. Unfortunately, due to her owner's changing circumstances, Tina is now looking for a new family to cherish her. She's a sweet and devoted companion who, once she knows you, will attach herself to her caregiver and want to be close by. She's gentle and patient with children who understand how to interact with a small, senior dog. Tina loves cuddling in a chair with you, mealtime, treats, sunbathing in the yard, and going for walks in the neighborhood with her favorite person. She also enjoys chasing birds or squirrels when she's feeling energetic.

Ideal Home

Tina is cautious around strangers and will protect you tenaciously, and she barks when anyone comes to the door. She is gentle and patient with children who are old enough to know how to treat a small, older dog. She is not a fan of car rides.

Ongoing Health

Tina was diagnosed with diabetes in 2020 and requires insulin shots twice daily after her morning and evening meals. She takes her injections without fuss, seeming to know they make her feel better. She is currently a little overweight at 10.5 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, and current on monthly preventions.

Training & Support

Tina is housetrained and crate trained, and she sleeps in her crate at night.
