Finley

Finley is a 10-month-old, 35-pound white Pit Bull mix with a heart as big as his smile. This handsome boy is neutered, current on vaccines, and ready to find a family that will embrace everything that makes him unique. Finley is deaf, but don't let that fool you—he's a smart, affectionate pup who learns by watching the dogs around him. Because of this, he would do best in a home with another confident, dog-friendly dog who can help show him the ropes and continue building his confidence. Finley absolutely adores people and forms strong bonds with his family. He's also beginning to discover the joy of toys by watching his canine friends play. His sweet, loving personality shines through in everything he does.

Ideal Home

A securely fenced yard is required to keep Finley safe while he enjoys outdoor time. He would do best in a home with another confident, dog-friendly dog.

Ongoing Health

As a puppy, Finley suffered what was likely a growth plate injury that healed on its own. As a result, his right femur is slightly shorter and his leg has a mild deformity. It gives him a bit of a wonky gait, but it doesn't slow him down or require amputation. His veterinarians expect him to continue doing well despite the old injury.

Training & Support

Finley is crate trained and does best in a plastic crate, as he has figured out how to pee outside of a wire crate. He isn't fully housebroken yet, but he has made tremendous progress and is continuing to improve every day. With consistency and patience, he's well on his way.
