Dolly

Our sweet golden girl Dolly 🌻 is looking for her forever home! Dolly is a 6-year-old, 50-pound spayed female with a beautiful brown coat, honey brown eyes, and a distinguished graying muzzle. She's spent too much time at the shelter, waiting to be seen. Dolly's story is one many older pets face, but she truly deserves a loving home for her golden years. She was unfortunately dumped in a Walmart parking lot with her mother, both emaciated and covered in fleas. After recovering and seeing her mother adopted, Dolly has experienced two adoptions that unfortunately didn't work out due to human life circumstances, not her fault. She's a resilient girl who is leash and crate trained, and house-trained, though she might need a little refresher in her new home, as is common for shelter pets. Dolly loves children and gets along with cats. She does have a preference for male dogs, but that's her only quirk.

Ideal Home

Dolly would thrive in a home that understands her preference for male dogs. She loves children and doesn't mind cats.

Ongoing Health

Dolly is heartworm positive and will require treatment. All animals are spayed/neutered prior to adoption, which is a state law.

Training & Support

Dolly is leash and crate trained and is house-trained, but a refresher is recommended for any adopted pet.

Dolly is located at our shelter in Marion, SC. We are working on expanding our transport options to surrounding areas.
