About Triton

Triton is a sweet, mellow boy who came to us as a stray with some severe matting and an unusual gait. We quickly learned that his funny walk is due to a birth defect where both of his femurs are curved, causing his knees to turn outward. Despite this, he gets around quite well and walks on his feet! Due to wear and tear, he already has arthritis in his knees and is on daily anti-inflammatories. While he may need a wheelchair down the road, he's very mobile on his own for now and the foreseeable future. Triton isn't a fan of long walks, but he absolutely adores belly rubs and being with his people. He has small bursts of excitement when playing but is generally a calm companion. Dinner is his favorite part of the day, and he enjoys chew toys, though he tends to eat stuffed toys, so those should be avoided. He'd love a special place in your heart and home!

Ideal Home

A home where he can receive plenty of belly rubs and companionship. Due to his tendency to eat stuffed toys, he cannot have any in his new home; chew bones are a great alternative.

Ongoing Health

Triton has arthritis in his knees due to a birth defect and is currently on daily anti-inflammatories. He may require a wheelchair in the future.

Training & Support

Triton is a gentle soul who enjoys playtime and meals. It's important to provide him with appropriate chew toys and avoid stuffed ones.
