Jackson is a 3-year-old bundle of energy who loves to explore the world around him! He came to us when his previous owner could no longer care for him. Because of this transition, Jackson can be a little shy at first, but once he feels secure, his sweet and loving personality shines through. He truly adores his people and enjoys nothing more than spending time outdoors, taking in all the sights and smells. Jackson is very treat-motivated, loves a good back scratch, and is a pro at playing with his toys. He already knows "sit" and "paw" and is working on his leash manners. Jackson has also participated in our "Doggy Day Out" program, where volunteers take dogs on adventures to give them a break from the shelter environment.
Ideal Home
Jackson would do best in a home where he is the only pet. He enjoys observing the world from a comfortable distance rather than being in the middle of a lot of commotion.
Ongoing Health
Jackson is up-to-date on his vaccinations and has been microchipped.
Training & Support
Jackson is working on his leash manners and can sometimes pull when excited by distractions like birds or squirrels. He would benefit from continued leash training to help him manage his excitement around other animals. He also has a flair for the dramatic when seeking attention or expressing his needs, which can be quite amusing!
