Meet Dahlia, a 44lb bundle of joy with an estimated birthday of May 5, 2023! Dahlia is a sweet and fun-loving Black Lab Mix who is always ready for an adventure, a cuddle, or to make a new friend. She was found bravely caring for her puppies under a house and, thanks to a foster who stepped in at the last minute, she's now safe and thriving. Dahlia absolutely adores being around people and gets along wonderfully with dogs and cats, making her a social butterfly! She thrives with companionship and would be happiest in a home where she has other animals to play and learn with. Whether she's zooming around the yard, enjoying a park visit, or snuggling up after a long day, Dahlia brings smiles wherever she goes.

Training & Support
Dahlia is already using a doggy door for potty breaks and is working on leash training. Like many young dogs, she's still learning and working on crate training. Providing plenty of toys for enrichment and play will help her succeed. Her new family should be excited to continue her training and help her grow into the amazing dog she's meant to be.

Transportation
Dahlia is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and may involve pick-up locations in nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
