Loki is a playful and affectionate 6.5-month-old Retriever/Pit Bull mix who is sure to bring joy and laughter into your home. Weighing 40 pounds, he's expected to grow into a large, handsome dog. Loki was rescued with his mother, Wanda, and littermates from a rural area and has blossomed in a loving foster home. He's the brave leader of his siblings, always eager to explore and announce his presence with confidence. Loki is a master of "furniture parkour" and loves a good game of keep-away with his toys. He's a smart pup who is potty trained and enjoys his crate for short periods. While he can be a little hesitant with new experiences at first, he quickly overcomes his shyness and dives back into the fun. He adores food and will happily make his way to the front of the line for treats! Despite his energetic antics, Loki is also a huge cuddle bug, transforming into the perfect lap buddy after a day of adventures. He thrives on positive interactions with people and other dogs and recently enjoyed greeting adults and children at a community event. Loki is eager to learn and is practicing his leash skills and basic obedience.
Ideal Home
Loki would thrive in a home that can provide continued positive reinforcement, consistency, and socialization. He would greatly benefit from a home with another friendly, well-mannered dog to help mentor him. Homes where someone is not routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time are preferred to ensure he receives regular potty breaks, exercise, enrichment, and human interaction.
Ongoing Health
Loki is a young, healthy puppy. As with any young dog, he will benefit from regular veterinary check-ups as he grows.
Training & Support
Loki is potty trained but may have occasional accidents as he adjusts to a new routine. He is continuing to practice his leash skills and basic obedience and is eager to learn. Ongoing socialization is crucial for Loki to build confidence and become a well-adjusted adult dog. Continued positive reinforcement, consistency, and leash practice are recommended.
