Scampi

Meet Scampi! This energetic pup is about 2 years old with an estimated birthdate of 05/13/2024. Scampi is a bundle of joy and enthusiasm, often showing his excitement with adorable hops that remind us of a kangaroo! He's got the grace of a baby giraffe, but that doesn't stop him from giving his zoomies his all, sometimes with a bit of fence-related confusion. Despite his playful clumsiness, Scampi is eager to please and knows how to "sit." We suspect he's a mix of breeds, possibly with some Lab and Hound, and he currently weighs around 60lbs.

Ideal Home

Scampi would love a home with children to play with. He might also do well with cats, provided they have a slow and proper introduction. An ideal home for Scampi would be one where breakable items are not a concern, or a family willing to work on some training with him to channel his boundless energy.

Ongoing Health

Scampi is up-to-date on his vaccinations and has been de-wormed. He has also been heartworm tested and is negative. He is neutered.

Training & Support

Scampi is currently participating in a prison training program and is learning valuable skills. He knows how to "sit." Due to his high energy and occasional exuberance, some additional training and patience will help him settle into his new home.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Adoption fees vary based on the dog's program: Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400.
• The adoption fee includes a Home Again Microchip, a set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1-year rabies shot (if old enough).
• All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $21 (cash only).
• Adoption fees can be paid with credit card or cash.

Transportation

Scampi is currently at the Fresh Start Prison Training Program and will be available for meet-and-greets starting August 2nd. Further transportation details can be discussed when you apply through Wags.
