Ruth

Meet Ruth, an 8-year-old sweetie who has been through a lot but is ready for her fresh start! She came to us from a local shelter, and we suspect she was a victim of a puppy mill, being no longer profitable for breeding. Ruth is currently blind, underweight, and being treated for heartworms, but she's already showing us her amazing spirit! Despite her challenges, she wags her tail, offers a slight smile, and walks nicely on a leash, exuding hope and greatness. After just a few days, she's revealed her playful side with a good game of "bite my bed" before dozing off with her head in her food bowl. Ruth is very attentive and has already become attached to her caretakers. She seems a little fearful of other pugs but wags enthusiastically when she doesn't see them. Don't overlook the resilient ones; they have just as much love and humor to share!

Ruth has noted leash manners and seems to be very attached to her people. She displays some fear of other pugs.
