Baylee is a sweet, snuggly 7-year-old Basset Hound and Vizsla mix who weighs close to 60 pounds. She loves being with her people, enjoys walks, and is looking for a loving home where she can settle into her next chapter.
Ideal Home
Baylee is friendly with most people once she has time to get to know them. She is not comfortable around infants or very young, unpredictable children; her current owners believe she could live happily with children over 10. She has lived successfully with a cat, but resource guarded her people, food, and toys around another dog and would do best as the only dog.
Ongoing Health
Baylee is spayed, up to date on shots, and microchipped. She currently takes low-dose sertraline for anxiety at a cost of $10 per month, which has helped during her transition.
Training & Support
Baylee is solidly house trained, was crate trained in the past, and can be trusted alone in the home. She knows many commands and is well behaved overall. She enjoys regular exercise and walks, and can be redirected fairly easily when she bays at dogs she sees. Her Basset nose may lead her to counter surf when tempting items are within reach.
