Forest is a wonderfully active and easily trainable dog who is looking for a special kind of home to call his own. He's already mastered house training and crate training, and he walks beautifully on a leash, making him a joy to take on adventures. He's also a great traveler and enjoys car rides! Forest is a social butterfly with other dogs, no matter their size, and he loves to have canine companions. He can be a bit protective of his home, so he'd do best in a peaceful environment.
Ideal Home
Forest would thrive in a calm, quiet home with a securely fenced backyard where he can safely play and explore. He would prefer a home without small children, cats, or other small animals like bunnies, as he can be protective.
Ongoing Health
Forest is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, and is heartworm negative. He receives monthly flea and tick preventative, monthly heartworm preventative (age appropriate), and regular deworming. He is also microchipped.
Training & Support
Forest is very trainable and eager to please. While he is protective, providing him with a consistent routine and clear boundaries will help him feel secure.

- If you rent, a copy of your lease stating pets are allowed is needed.
- If you've had a pet in the last two years, please provide that vet's information.
- If you're a first-time pet owner or haven't had a pet in over two years, a personal reference is needed.
Transportation
Forest is located at our rescue center at 34 County Road 2266, Brundidge, AL 36010. We are not open to the public without an appointment. Transportation arrangements can be discussed during the application process.
